There is a commercial program also, called CRT by VAN DYKE software (http://www.vandyke.com ) that offers a little more flexibility and powerthan Tera Term, but of course, Tera Term is free. I was not able to get Tera Term to close automatically after running scripts. With CRT it is an option.
You can try CRT for 30 days before buying, so check it out. I would use the SecureCRT Product. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Kent, Robert Sent: Thursday, June 17, 2004 9:02 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [WhatsUp Forum] OT Telnet Automation Tera Term has a simple scripting language that I use once in a while. You can email me directly or to the group. Do you, and if yes how do you automate a telnet connection. For example I want to change the password on all my HP JetDirect printers, Cisco switches and other network devices. I'm looking for something that can work with anything that supports telnet, not just Cisco.
