I thought similarly. But I am monitoring systems that are on isolated private LAN without any mail system. At the most I can install a modem which can dialup and send messages. But I didn’t see any options available to kick off modem dialing.

What you can do is to send the email notification to a pager/SMS gateway service.  It works out pretty well in most cases.

Cheers!

Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] Notification in WUP SB 2004

I tested WUP SB 2004 and the UI is excellent and intelligent than WUP Gold. The concern is notification is very limited. Is there a way to use Pager/SMS notification with this product?
