One additional comment.  The web interface displays device information via map or list view.  The map view looks identical to the console maps.

Hi Phil,

Yes, the old reporting system is gone.  The new one is completely reworked and database driven. There are a bunch of canned reports including:

Device Reports
Availability -- Find out when your device has been accessible.
Health -- A Snapshot of the current status of each monitor on a device.
Performance -- Find out when your monitors are responding slowly.
State Change Timeline -- Examine the state change history of all the monitors on a device.
Syslog Entries -- A record of Syslog messages WhatsUp has received from a device.
SNMP Trap Log  -- A record of SNMP traps WhatsUp has received from a device.
Windows Event Log -- A device's Windows system events captured by WhatsUp.

System  Reports
Activity Log -- A categorized history of all messages generated by WhatsUp.
Syslog Entries -- A record of Syslog messages WhatsUp has received.
SNMP Trap Log -- A record of all SNMP traps received by WhatsUp.
Windows Event Log -- Windows system events captured by WhatsUp across all devices.
Actions Applied -- Shows how actions are applied to devices and monitors in the system.

Group Reports
State Summary -- A summary of device states organized by device group.
Availability -- Compare the amount of time your devices have been accessible.
Health -- A Snapshot of the current status of devices on a group.
Performance -- Compare the response times of your devices.
State Change Timeline -- Examine the state change history of all devices in a group.
Actions Applied -- Shows how actions are applied to devices and monitors in a group.

The presentation system is HTML and ASP.  It'll be pretty straight forward to create new reports and/or extend the existing ones.

Cheers!

Hi Pete so since you didn't say anything to my comments about WUG Pros reporting are you acknowledging that the reporting functionality in WUG is not available in WUG Pro?  Availability reports by device name so they can be grouped by device types and locations are important to me and Im guessing to others (I had long ago shared my modified crystal reports with allot of WUG users)

Yes the new interface is nice but very different from WUG.  I prefer the map view of WUG personally.  Also as for speed, putting both on one box will be a good test of that, the new 'group' pages are fast but the report pages is where I saw the slowness.
