When I try to connect to the SQL Server from a remote desktop, I always get an error. It says “Login failed for user “xx”. Reason: Not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection.
I tried what you just said but I haven’t been able to create a local DSN.
If someone could help me it would be very appreciate.
Thank you

You can enable remote access to the MSDE database by running <drive>:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\Binn\SVRNETCN.exe
This runs a configuration program for MSDE and then you can enable TCP/IP access to the database and create a DSN locally on you client PC to access the database.

You can share the directory where the database is stored and then access the Database from a workstation. Depending on your version of access, you will have to make WUG a trusted site on your workstation within IE.

My understanding was that the desktop version that WUP runs does not allow network connections. If it does then you are correct I can use Access from my desktop to get to it. Does anyone know if you can get to the WUP database form a remote computer.
Thank You
