Jeff, Don't know about the undo, but share your pain! I'm sure it has to be very close to the top of the list for SP1!
As for moving devices from one map to another, try the Device view instead of the Map view (select all you want to move and drag them to the destination in the tree view). When you are in Map view, you are editing that map (moving within that map), when using drag and drop! When the devices are dropped at the new location, WUP will ask if you want to "Share or Move" them, select Move if you want just this copy of the devices. Share would leave the original and put a copy on the new map. My images are just fine both on the consol and via web and the only thing I can think of that would have some effect is the resolution or color depth that is used on the WUP computer. I see Tim also recommended checking this, so I have to agree. The migration tools are made to just run once. Running multiple times will get you multiple copies of your data (devices) and that could cause problems. Don't know about future plans for the tools, so cannot answer your question. A thought that may help.... Since Pro uses a database, maybe you could build something that reads the db, then outputs the data as an ini or xml file that Gold could use? Might take some work, but may save more than it costs if it gets used enough while you are in transition. My staff use these images to get room numbers and other information from. I need this turned off. Where is the setting that controls this fuzz factor? The new features in WUP are very nice. However because it is a very big change, and it will take a few months to get my custom scripts converted over. So in the mean time I have make any changes to both systems.
