Dan,
This may work: Move this: <A href="rcnotifylist.asp">Recurring Notifications</A> To this section: <%IF% IS_USER_CONFIGURE_USERS> or <%IF% IS_WEBSERVER_CONFIGURATION_ENABLED> <!-- APPSETTINGS CONFIGURE --> or <%IF% IS_USER_CONFIGURE_PROGRAM><!-- USER PROGRAM CONFIGURE -->

I tried that Joe, and it worked. The problem is that it only shows up on the topview page, which has nothing to report.
Is there a way to get it on the normal subnet pages as these are where the devices that need performance graphs are.
Also, would it be easier to comment out the configuration of recurring reports on these pages as that would achieve the same result for me.
Thanks for any light you can shed on this.

Dan,
Here is an example of how to make the "Performance Graphs" link available to quests. - Edit topview.asp. - Look for <%IF% IS_CONFIGURE_REPORTS_ENABLED> Cut the following: <A href="ReportPerformanceGraphs.asp">Performance Graphs</A> and paste it after this line: <%INCLUDE% MainPageSuffix.asp>

Joe

Having them reconfigure the recurring reports is a non-option for me. Is there a way to just give them access to themap.and outage reports? The setup is pretty simple. There is one map with 25 sub-maps, each representing a location in North America. Each of them is a singleI am using the .ini file format for the maps. What I did in WUG was to change the poll to use services instead of ICMP. That worked great and I was able to see that the system was up except when it could not get to the service (HTTP, FTP, Exchange,canI can't seem to find that option in WUP 2005. "
I raised this issue in a previous post. An Ipswitch rep on this forum stated that they are aware of the issue that even when you increase the trigger to 2 or 5 minutes an Up alert is still sent. She said that this was being addressed in service pack 1 due this first quarter. Regarding polling services instead of ICMP, this is easy! First double click your device (or right click/properties) and select the "Active Monitors" tab in the window. This is the same as the old services in WUG. Click add and add the service you wish to poll. Youconfigure each one and associated alerts/actions independently fromeachbarother. If the service you want is not there you can create your own by selcting "Active Monitor Library" in the configure menu on the toolgetat the top. Nonetheless, going back to the start of this thread, changing the service type will not help the amount of missed checks you willtryas I have been there and tried that and we still get loads. I have ran WUP and WUG on the same server and on different servers for comparison and we still get excessive misses for the same checks in WUP relative to WUG. We are finding that this product is causing more tech support overhead than from not having any monitoring at all. If SP1 doesnt fix these issues then WUP will be in the trash very soon. I suspect that the polls are not even leaving the host server at all. When I have some free time I may set up some packet tracing to************************************************************************and discover why this annoying problem is occuring.
