Have you tried restarting the Ipswitch WhatsUp Engine (NmService.exe) service? Some people on the Ipswitch web forum are complaining of memory leak symptoms from WhatsUp Pro ever since installing SP1. I myself haven't experienced this, but you might want to check out how much memory Windows thinks NmService.exe is using. If it seems to be way out of the ordinary (mine is only using about 40MB after several days of uptime with SQL Server/MSDE running at about 85MB), you might be suffering from the same problem. Restarting the service should temporarily resolve the problem (if this is indeed the problem), though it will probably happen to you again several hours after you "fixed" it, if history and other people's accounts of their experiences mean anything. -- Nathan Anderson First Step Internet, Inc.
