When an object is placed into maintenance mode, is that object still polled and if so are the statistics logged? What I am looking for is two numbers on each object, Availability and Reliability. Availability being the % of time the system was available on the network (via ping). Reliability being the % of time, during service hours, the system was available on the network (via ping). eg: If a server must provide services from 9am-5pm, then we would schedule the device to be in maintenance mode, from 5pm to 9am the next morning. The admins can do anything they like to the server during those hours. As long as the server was up from 9-5 the reliability would be 100%. What we would still like to know is how "available" the server was over the reporting period. Meaning we want the % of time the server actually was on the network and responding to ping over the reporting period. If I remember correctly, the old wug option, disabling monitoring, caused the server not to be polled at all while monitoring was turned off. Does anyone know for sure if the maintenance mode option does the same thing? Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
