I am looking for this same type of
solution. I have not been able to find anything that will work for us. The
closest that I have come is a company that will convert emails received to
voice phone calls. www.email2phone.net If you know of or find a better solution
please let me know. I am not fond of relying on both the internet being up and
an external provider working to provide me critical notifications. Tim From:

[mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Cochrane, Jim All,
I
am looking for a better way to do alerting for hours when our group is not up
and scanning every email. We are looking to use some kind of output from What's
up Gold to go to some software or appliance that will dial out and call a
specific number. Once the call is established, the alert out put would be
converted from text to speech and be read. We
are a fairly small shop so we don't want to invest a whole lot. I was hoping to
implement something for no more than $2.5k. I would prefer an internally
managed solution, but I am open to externally hosted recommendations in case
this doesn't pan out. Any
recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Jim Cochrane |
