Are you positive (100%) that you have the correct SNMP credentials?
This the exact behavior I saw when I had the incorrect credentials when
running the MAC find.

Go to the Active Monitor Library and select the SNMP item.
Select the "Test" button on the tight side of the screen.
In the "Device for Test" select the switch that you are trying to get the
MAC info from.
In the Credentials field, leave (Use default credentials for this device)as
is.
Hit Test button.

What are the results in the Details field?

Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] MAC Address search does not work

Did a MAC address lookup and I cannot pull up port info. All this tool
seems to do is that it goes to a router, looks up arp of all IP's in the
defined range, and then does an nslookup on it. Plus why defined IP range.
Can I define a single IP in this tool as well?? That would be usefull for
my desktop support team.

Why is this so?? I am trying this on various Cisco Switches. Anybody else
seeing this, or am I making a boo-boo

Thanks,
H
