I also sent an email to the Sales department's email address mentioning the issue and suggesting that someone from Ipswitch might want to monitor the forums occasionally or fix the unsubscribe function or, at the very least, check the webmaster's mailbox. ;-)

Maybe some progress. I just received this email: ---------------------------------------- Roger, I?m contacting the ?List-Master? for the WUG list to get him to straighten out the Unsubscribe function. I will also have him manually remove you. George E. Dailey III Roger, Maybe it would be better to just start sending unsubscribe emails to any and all email addresses that you can find on the web site. I ran into this same problem with another company and it turned out that they had done a "realignment" and forgotten to assign someone the task of checking the webmaster email address. (Apparently, they had also screwed up there subscribe/unsubscribe email handler such that it only worked for subscribing . . . sound familiar? ;-) Respectfully, Ralph D. Yes, I could set up a filter. But can't a "technology company" learn how to use technology? If I set up a filter, ideally on my mail server so I don't even get the mail delivered to my home PC....and then I want to "re-subscribe" to the mailing list a year or 2 from now and try, it won't work since I'm already getting the mail sent to me - but my mail server is rejecting it. I'll then have to figure out why I can't get subscribed to the mailing list. All because I forgot about this filter I set up. I'll have to see if there is someone at Ipswitch to call on the phone. You could ?optimize? your junk mail filter. J Kind of a waste of electrons, though. Erik Amundson Director of IT Infrastructure Open Access Technology Int'l, Inc. I also tried to send the webmaster an email and get this reply back: User mailbox exceeds allowed message count: [EMAIL PROTECTED] I don't think they want to lose any users....... I've tried a few times to un-subscribe from this mailing list, but it never works. I've visited this site: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.asp I've entered my name and the email address they're using to send me mailing list messages (I've double-checked the source code of the email to verify this) I choose the Whats Up list dropdown item and choose UnSubscribe. I then receive an email which I'm supposed to reply to, to confirm my request - which I do reply to, not changing any text at all. I get an email reply that says: wrote: There is no such list here. I can not get unsubscribed. Is there anyone from Ipswitch watching this list that can contact me so I can get un-subscribed?
