+1 for releasing 1.3b1 asap.
We should have a beta release as soon as possible.
Now everybody can check it out from svn, then they can download a binary
with src file.
I am against delaying it because of some license issues. That is in my eyes
not an argument
for releasing a beta so that people can download a jar instead of checkout.
+1 for release.
Here's how I see it...
1. Make release candidate
2. Wicket vote to release it
3. Propose release candidate on [email protected]
4. Deal with feedback, make necessary adjustments, including new release
candidates
5. Release it
Basically, if 1.3b1 is going to be an Incubator release, then we need to
follow incubator guidelines, which means we cannot release it with
license issues. However, getting exposure on general@ is a very good way
to get more eyes on our release, to catch them quickly.
However, if someone thinks there is stuff that is glaringly obvious that
is as yet unfixed, we should fix that before going to [EMAIL PROTECTED] There's
no point asking for feedback there if we know exactly what they are
going to say already. So I take Frank's -1 seriously, and want to see
where he takes that.

We have been very busy with work on Wicket 1.3 and most major features
have been backported. It is time to show our work to the general
public and perform our first step towards graduation. Therefore I
propose to release Wicket 1.3-beta1 to the general public.
If there are still any pending legal issues, then please share them here!
