Yes, that's right. I'm just splitting 1.3 up into two smaller chunks in an attempt to make things happen sooner and be more manageable.
I'd much rather do exactly that: split 1.3 into smaller chunks. Put a beta out this weekend so that people can take a brake from upgrading, but put the model change in to get it over with. The new models have been tested well and for most users this should be quite an easy upgrade anyway.
If we put the model refactor into 1.3 then I reckon it will be ready for release around about the same time that 1.4 would otherwise be, or possibly even later.
I'm not concerned at all about when we actually release 1.3. I'm concerned about when the feature set will be available in SVN for the users that are on 2.0 now, including myself. We can't just put them on hold for months, and we want less branches, not more. Eelco
