#: Martijn Dashorst changed the world a bit at a time by saying on 10/27/2005

I just spoke with Juergen, and we think it is too short notice to implement
all different types of exceptions. However, we both think
MarkupFileNotFoundException is really an improvement, and as such we will
implement that.
The other types of exceptions can probably be solved at a later stage, as
Juergen has fixed the error page. The error page shows you where the problem
is in your markup and shows what it wrong. This is way better than any
exception report.
We will deliver 1.1 this weekend, with the MarkupFileNotFoundException in
place. The other exceptions are still under debate and probably are not as
necessary with the error page fix. Note that in order to get /all/ exception
handling the way we like, we probably need to postpone Wicket 1.1 for 2
weeks or so. I guess noone wants to wait /that/ long.
I'll try to ensure backporting of better exception handling when we improve
the exception handling.

Than, can I ask what was the vote for? :-).

Yup, I've followed the maven dev list closely (at least, as much as
possible, given the number of messages per day) and it works pretty good.
I'd like to propose to write up something similar for Wicket (replacing
Apache with Wicket ;-). and have this voting mechanism for some major
refactorings, RFE's installed.
