Devs,

I would like to open up a 1.2 release schedule discussion. We already
have discussed this previously, however those discussions seem dead,
and I have a slight feeling we are currently not moving in the right
direction.

So the question is: when is 1.2 finished?

I suggest the following discussion, and I would like to see some time
table in which we will arrive at 1.2 final. I'll try to monitor this
discussion and post summaries of all points delivered. Finally I'd
like to propose a vote on all points for 1.2 and start moving forward
to a first true alpha or perhaps beta release.

 - Igor's multiple components, ajax generating thing (don't know how
to call it, sorry Igor) -> do or don't
 - To be cleaned up api's (is there anything that needs work)
 - Bugs (1.2 should be delivered with a clean slate)
 - Documentation + examples
 - maven 2 build

I'm sure that I left out things. Please feel free to add them to this
list and we'll be able to discuss them. All the stuff I put up on this
list is also open for debate.

I'd like us to have 1.2 finalized before the end of the month. I'm
positive this is feasable if we stop tinkering and put our stamp on
it.

At topicus we have subjected a Wicket application to a fairly rigorous
test and it didn't crumble. This is only one application, but it is
the first web application that didn't die when subjected to a load of
100 concurrent requests hammering.

So the quality is there, now we need to put a wrap around it and ship it.

Martijn
