Hi I'm not sure I understand. The idea with this assert is to check that a component has been added to an AjaxRequestTarget and not to check whether a specific Ajax event is fired.
We use this assert to check that the code we have written actually does what we expect. So if we have: ... new AjaxLink("onclick") { public void onClick(AjaxRequestTarget target) { MyComponent my = new MyComponent("someid"); ... target.addComponent(my); } } ... we use the assert to check that we have actually called target.addComponent().
