I never understood it was my duty to do so... Are we sure *NO* changes have been made in 1.2.x, that aren't also in 1.x?
When I run a diff to the moment of branch creation, I see a couple of changes that seem important: svn diff https://svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/wicket/tags/wicket-1.2.2 https://svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/wicket/branch es/wicket-1.2.x I'm not sure whether these changes have made it to 1.x as well.
