We are definitely active. Scanning the mail archiv will proof that
point. We recently provided 1.2B1 to the community and the sourceforge
download page will provide you with many more early 1.2 releases
(which also proofs that we are active). Lots of work went into 1.2 and
many many improvement driven by the community have been implemented.
Yes documentation needs to be improved, though javadoc is very good
compared to many other frameworks. The mailing list IMO is excellent
and irc channel ##wicket is a valuable source for information as well.
The first book based on 1.2 will be out this summer.
