as martijn says do use the normal invalidate() method and dont call invalidateNow directly.

But that code also can go wrong in more places.
You should do a redirect.. And response to a bookmarkable page
(you already do that by setting the class instead of the instance of the login page)

because currently your login page is directly created and served to the outside world
But has that login page a form? Then that will not work becaus that form has a call back to the
page that is created in a wicket session that was invalidated.
