Well, I made a small experiment, noted down serial of one elk and one builder, 
saved, loaded and now serials are different...

If it is the case, we can still enter new variable into ship - f.e. 'id' and 
that would be preserved. Also there was a call for ability to name ships. This 
is related a bit...
