Not as far as I know... is there a link to that discussion?

The original description page said: "for collaborative translations of
free texts and fair use extracts".  As long as contributors are
careful about what is translated, there should be no problem.  For
example, a page from Wikipedia (under the GFDL) could be translated
and fed back into the Wikipedia project with no problems at all.  All
versions would remain under the GFDL.

I think there are plenty of suitable texts to work on, and it could be
a great resource.
