This issue is a few months old. It first happened with one of the last
MediaWiki version upgrades, and I noted it as a bug... somewhere. I
can't find the page.

Regardless, it's still going on, and I wasn't a member of the Wikia
list at the time, so I might as well re-introduce it here.

I've got some date templates that show up in a variety of places, and
most of the templates have references (using the <ref name="foo">
</ref> and <references /> tags) listed on them to the originating
source. All good so far. The template shows up fine. See, fr'ex, the
template page for today's date:

http://whitewolf.wikia.com/wiki/Template:September_19

However, when the template is included in another article (such as on
my Main Page, or via my date navigation pages), each instance of a
reference seems to add an extra <blockquote> tag, until the bottom of
the article is the width of a strand of spaghetti. Additionally, if a
reference occurs in the middle of a line, the rest of the line shows
up as preformatted text, as thought starting a new line with a space
in front of it.

Fr'ex, the standard page used for navigating dates, which includes the
above template:

http://whitewolf.wikia.com/wiki/September_19

Obviously this is not desired behaviour.

Thanks in advance for any help that can be provided.
