MediaWiki has something that is exactly what you need: a public watchlist: [[Special:Recentchangeslinked]]. Create a page in your user space (for example, [[Special:Mypage/Watchlist]]) and put in it links to the pages you want to watch,
It only needs an RSS feed, which isn't avaliable yet.
