Now, I know next to nothing about DPL and only a little more than that about using parser functions and wiki code for creating templates (a lot is copy/paste and just alter things I see elsewhere) but I'm learning! :)
One thing I can say about iBoxes is on the age of conan wiki I've created several iBoxes, which in hindsight looks to be a good idea (regarding Dantman's comments about for example 10 functions available but only using 3, yet all 10 are being processed etc.) I could have my iBox under the one template but then that'd give it (at this stage) about 14 possible |xxxx=yyyyy to use in it. I have started setting them up for auto-categorisation to save future users time and confusion at setting up categories, and something do have automatic linking as well (IE: just put some [[ ]] around the various fields for when it generates) I am assuming that is what you are referring to yes? If not, feel free to correct me. ALWAYS happy to be educated :) The iBoxes I use at this stage. http://aoc.wikia.com/wiki/Template:Infobox Feat<http://aoc.wikia.com/wiki/Template:Infobox%20Feat> http://aoc.wikia.com/wiki/Template:Infobox Combo<http://aoc.wikia.com/wiki/Template:Infobox%20Combo> http://aoc.wikia.com/wiki/Template:Infobox Feats<http://aoc.wikia.com/wiki/Template:Infobox%20Spell> -Victor On Dec 12, 2007 1:15 AM, Angela <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > On Dec 12, 2007 1:04 AM, DanTMan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > We have various extensions like ParserFunctions, StringFunctions, and > DPL > > already on Wikia for use. > > Please note that complexity for users is not the only problem with > these.
