Hi everyone, For the last few weeks we've been working on a MediaWiki 1.12 upgrade (we're currently at 1.10a). As you know, doing an upgrade is a fair amount of work for us because we have to check all the extensions that are in use across Wikia (~100 at last count - and that's a whole 'nother topic of interest). Several extensions, particularly those involved in uploading images, needed to be rewritten in order to work with the latest MediaWiki version. Our internal testing is complete... and last week we rolled out the 1.12 upgrade on 1000 of our least used wikis and so far so good.
At the beginning of next week, we'll start to roll this upgrade out to the rest of Wikia *except* the wikis listed below (~30). The last MediaWiki rollout went pretty smoothly... we hope this one will too, however there is more of a delta between 1.10a and 1.12 than the upgrade we did back in August. As we roll this out, please bear with us as we find and fix any issues that come up. Thanks, John Q. These wikis will *not* have 1.12 in the next release.
