Safari 4 beta has been released, and the accesskeys meta is changed from
control+ to control+option+, to reduce conflicts with OS shortcuts (at least
the Mac version; I haven't tested it on Windows).

The metakey for accesskeys is in the application's realm, and one application
developer has just addressed this issue. Now file your bug reports with
Mozilla (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=303192) and Microsoft.

This is not a website bug. If we change a key to accommodate one web browser,
we will just break it in some other browser, handheld, or OS that we have never
heard of. this bug should be closed INVALID or WONTFIX.
