--- Comment #104 from [email protected] 2012-03-23 01:03:05 UTC --- (In reply to comment #103) > If you want to see how the WMF is attempting to help the community achieve its > goals, see http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Page_Triage as well as > http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Category:Article_Creation_Workflow Mark, if you really want to see how the WMF has 'attempted to help the community', perhaps you could read this entire bug from start to finish, take note that a full 8 months further on very little has actually transpired. A further community effort - an NPP survey launched in fact by some of those above who were vehemently dissatisfied by the result of this bug, but with the best of intentions, was also met by a largely unexplained exclusion of the volunteer research team from its evaluation - and that now only very recently, the Article Creation Flow and NPP Triage projects have been relaunched by the WMF ostensibly as 'new' projects. The end effect has been, instead of looking for ways to enhance new-user retentions, the community vs. WMF gap has in fact widened, and Wikipedia has lost the collaboration of dedicated users and admins - especially those experienced in NPP matters - some of whom may even have retired or semi-retired from Wikipedia as a result. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug.
