Right. So I think a few things should happen here: 1. Ensure that the API requests are using an identifiable (preferably versioned) User-Agent string (cf. [[m:User-Agent policy]]). 2. Coordinate with either Erik, Tim, or some other Wikimedia Foundation technical staffer to schedule a deployment slot (time window) of this new code, while preparing for the possibility of needing to roll back the new code, if necessary. 3.
