I hope this is a false alarm... but it seems to be real.
Compare [[Locomotive]] (images visible - en is currently on 1.22wmf7) with
[[testwiki:VisualEditor:Locomotive]] (no images - test is on 1.22wmf8).
Seen on Firefox latest and Chrome latest.
