What you can do to have a solution implemented? Write the code. This is an open-source project, after all… > Can a dev at least answer my question about what is > being done about this and when we can expect a fix to be made? “A dev”? “What is being done”? This is an open-source project developed primarily by volunteers. AFAIK there is no official paid-by-Wikimedia-Foundation project to implement this functionality. You can hardly detect whether some volunteer somewhere spends his time working on this (and I know of no such person). We cannot expect a fix to be made until somebody goes and creates it… Go implement the functionality, or go and bug the Foundation to throw some money on the problem and assign a paid developer to it. There is no point in debating the severity of it *here* (it’s not like there are bored developers lurking around here and not fixing the bug just because they do not consider it a problem). OTOH, should the bug really be “ASSIGNED to Philip Tzou”? Is he actively working on solving this bug? I see he attached his patches here, but that is only a part of the solution. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug. _______________________________________________ Wikibugs-l mailing list [email protected] https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikibugs-l
