Attempting subversion of this nature (such as removing interface messages) not
only harms the Wikimedia wikis, it harms all MediaWiki wikis, which is even
worse. Suddenly, as I see it, the English Wikipedia's poor interface decisions
are now negatively affecting everyone else, even though the English Wikipedia
is in fact wrong and should change.
