I'll be honest that this comment makes me want to go back and revert the gerrit change for this. This is just about the worst thing you can say as a member of an organization charged with supporting MediaWiki as an upstream. This is *not* how open source software works. Funny enough, I thought this was simply an oversight made during the switchover, now I'm kind of pissed off.
