You are saying that it doesn't work in certain circumstances. Are there file bugs opened for the circumstances you can reproduce? Currently we have Bug 33105 - VisualEditor: Preserve rich text formatting when pasting from internal or external sources (tracking) which tracks 6 bug reports. Are the problems you are encountering covered there? I didn't read the whole conversation at the wiki page, but the problems seemed to be related with formatting being lost from copy to paste, which is what Bug 33105 is tracking.
