So looking through the comments, I see the following breakdown:

Support: Myself, MZMcBride, Nemo, Amgine, Isarra, Matt Walker, Raimond

Opposition: Steven Walling, Matt F (weak)

It seems to be Steven you're the only person that's strongly opposed against
this idea - the rest of the people that have commented on this bug (who are
from a wide range of projects/locations) support this change.

I don't think that this change should be opposed on the basis of *one* person's
opposition - we work with consensus. Furthermore, by telling the user that we
are going to keep them logged in, then logging them out after 30 days we are
effectively lying to them - can you tell me that's good UX?
