For the record, Google still just says "Stay signed in"; they have a finite but
long expiration (two years for what seem to be the main cookies, but shorter
for another one that is not impacted by "Stay signed in".

For Facebook, the main cookie expires in one month if it's checked, similar to
our current behavior.
