This is overkill and antisocial behavior on the part of your bot.  Even leaving
a broken Image tag, which was quite clearly intentionally placed in the
wikitext by a human being, is better than automatically deleting it with zero
notice to anyone.

Leaving a message on the User talk page when messing with a User page is a
common courtesy if your bot is going to fundamentally alter the actual content
on the page.
