I am a an administrator on English Wikipedia

While attempting to update user rights (-autopatrolled) for another user, the
rights did not update, however a log entry reflecting the change was entered.

No changes to rights were made, and the account still has (bot, reviewer,
autopatrolled) as seen here:

If this is an actual conflict, a log entry should not be produced.
