  It won't fail, it would increase load on Wikidata from WDQS by several times 
since we have 14 servers (not counting external clients, test servers, etc.) 
that want these data. It probably won't be catastrophic - we've been running 
for years before without caching - but would tax Wikidata servers more and the 
loads would sometimes fail that may lead to some data not being properly 
updated.
