You probably need to replace the internal battery.

I keep the clock in my camera set to UTC, wherever I am in the world,
because I was always forgetting to change it/ change it back when I
changed timezones.

My hone photos, though, have "correct" local times, because my phone
updates its clock automatically.

Meh.
