Employed by is also possible, but might not give the results you seek. Or perhaps you will if they are mainly employed by universities, but in general I don't believe many companies have all their local offices as items (yet). E.g.a big bank that has at least one office in every major city in a country probably only have an item for the company (and maybe headquarter).
