Well, there is the more manual way of producing pdfs of a wikipage,
that seems to be better then "print as pdf".
Click on the printable version, then print from your browser to
"Virtual Printer" that generates PDFs.
Of course this relies on the user not only knowing this procedure, but
also having installed a PDF virtual printer.
That said, Ubuntu, and other linux distros come with such a virtual
printer by default, and for windows there is
PDF creator (http://www.pdfforge.org/products/pdfcreator) which is open
source, but does not work on Vista (yet)

I think my query was not
perceived correctly
I wanted to enable "print as pdf "option on my wiki and for the same
there must be extension or plugin which I want
to know
Just now I have seen one option called
HTMLDOC and with the same I am going to experiment today.
Let's see the
quality!
But you know any other option other then
HTMLDOC to download wiki artcle in
pdf or text doc format online please let me know
Thanks & Regards

There
is a print to pdf link on every page on WikiEducator at the moment (in
the toolbox section, bottom-left) .. it's just not that good in taking
things like images over and formatting, but it's ok.

hi Wayne
As mentioned on wiki educator there is
editor call HTMLDOC for downloading wiki article into pdf format and
text document. Tomorrow I am going to install HTML doc plug-in to our
wiki
let see how it will work for me.
By the way I am very enthusiastic to see
that development soon

Hi Pritpal -
The wiki ==> pdf functionality I referred to is currently under
development and we expect to have a working prototype in a few months.
In the mean time under the toolbox navigation items on the left of the
screen - there is a temporary print as pdf feature. However this does
not do a good job of images and complex templates - hence our
investment to get a more reliable wiki to pdf feature for Mediawiki
software.
Just a little patience - and we'll have this functionality. Its going
to make a huge difference for educators!
Cheers
