Hi Wayne,

Agreed...I'm SO happy I've gotten my gmail to work, by using a
work-around...this way, I can join the conversation, and do my bit o'
facilitation....

My thought here, is that the bounties and the clusters are closely
related...Ideally, it would be great if the person who takes on the
responsibility is the nexus for a cluster development, or actually belongs to
one...it's a way of building internal capacity.

I like the idea of a small bounty - it's a great way of saying "thank-you" to
the folks who are contributing to make this a reality... Appreciation goes
along way - in any kind of relationship!

Subject: [WikiEducator] Re: Portals (technical help please?)

Randy -

Good suggestion. Ideally it would be great to have sub-groups or task
teams forming that assist with important components of the community -
for example:

* A technical work-group that attends to feature developments like
templates for portal pages;
* A editorial work-group that helps develop guidelines and support
tools for editorial work in WIkiEd
* An educational work-group that assists with co-coordinating issues
associated with learning design in WikiEd
* A Citizen media work-group that can help with developing processes
for reporting WikiEd news on country pages and front page news

....etc.

You've made an excellent start with categorising different roles
members may assume in the community - but as you say, we seem to be
missing the level of work groups or teams that help guide and support
important collective functions in the wiki.

mmmm - why wasn't Rome built in a day!!!

To help move priority areas along a little - I'm toying with the idea
of bounties (derived from some of the leading open source
developments) - see for example:

Lets see how this progresses.

Cheers
Wayne
