Thanks Eric, Unless there is some MediaWiki method I don't know about, having an RSS feed for a category would benefit management of the wiki - such as watching and checking flickr images etc..
As well, as I started saying at the Techtonic, I reckon Categories could work out to be a good way of tagging resources... one day we might see the category field at the bottom of each page become more like tag clouds.. with each tag having its own RSS feed to subscribe to. So I reckon if getting an RSS feed out of Categories is possible, that we should do it.. what's the next step? I admin agrees to add the feature, I'm sure I could raise some money here at Otago to pay a developer to hack it up...
