Yes, thanks Brent for providing those links.  I recently attended a
meeting in Second Life about this...

Basically 'Croquet' is part of a larger movement called the 'Media
Grid' which is making 3D collaborative virtual spaces available and
free.

Randy, a project close to you at UBC is called the 'Arts Metaverse'
and provides some idea of how Croquet could be applied.
