The person who uploaded the corn pic would have had to have pushed past a
prompt saying "there is already a file by that name, overwrite?"

I dunno about a backup inside Wikieduator, the file was over written, maybe
there is an admin setting NOT to overwrite but to rename.. but I reckon this
relates to my lobby for the integration of 3rd party media services.. in
this case - Flickr Creative Commons data base. I upload all my images to
Flickr first, and then to Wikieducator second.. you could do the same with
WikiMedia Commons which may some day result in a more streamlined backup and
retrieval process.
