Good question Nellie, This happened to me a while back. Someone changed a template I was dependent on and a lot of my work went haywire. So I reverted the change (cause within a wiki I can revert back to a previous version) and everything was fine again. Then the person who made the original change contacted me and asked why I reverted thier change. We had small discussion exchange and we resolved the issue. We ended up keeping their original change (even though it broke my work overall it was an improvement) and I fixed up how I was using the template.
I guess the point I am trying to make is that we are all working in a community. And in the wiki way people should just go for it when it comes to making changes. And if it breaks something, you will find out pretty quickly and then collaborate with the other(s) to fix the problem and come to agreement. All good...
