Hi Everyone, The Learning4Content project is likely the worlds largest attempt to develop wiki skills for education. With generous funding support from the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation and the Commonwealth of Learning, over the last 18 months WikiEducator has:
- Recruited 3001 educators from 113 different countries for wiki skills training - Scheduled 86 workshops (that's an average of more than 1 workshop per week!) - Increased the volume of OER content in WikiEducator by 270% WE has published its report on the first 18 months of the Learning4Content project. You can download a copy from the project's home page, listed under the News section: http://wikieducator.org/Learning4Content WE invite you to visit the personal stories of our featured Learning4Content graduates: http://wikieducator.org/Featured_L4C_graduates There's some interesting data in the report, for example: - WikiEducator has recorded a higher content per user production rate than the large public wikis like Wikipedia and Wikiversity. - 43% of the educators enrolled for a Learning4Content workshop have achieved a wiki certification. 62% of these educators have acquired the skills of a Level 2 Apprentice or higher (see: http://wikieducator.org/WikiMaster).
