Hi Everyone,

A quick note -- the WikiEducator community does NOT subscribe to
unauthorised use of materials. Randy, thanks for the speedy deletion.

As an education community, WE assume good faith and I suspect and (assume)
that Payal's "plagiarism" was done unintentionally. I'm travelling at the
moment and will communicate personally with Payal and offer support and help
in achieving her teaching objectives once I return to New Zealand. Big
thanks to Declan and Allision for your suggestions and support.

Clearly there is a need for tutorial support in helping educators grapple
with the complexities of copyright and fair dealing / fair use in
educational contexts. I have a little funding we can invest in the
development of tutorial support materials to help address the challenges and
opportunities associated with unauthorised use of copyrighted materials. Yes
opportunities -- as illustrated by Declan's offer to "photograph-to-order"
as a contribution to building the inventory of free images :-).

If anyone is interested in helping out with this tutorial development --
please reply to this thread and I'll set up an international team in the
wiki to move this forward.

Cheers
Wayne
