Southern New Hampshire University (USA)  joins forces with the OER university network.

"Southern New Hampshire University is looking to re-envisage and reinvent what has been accepted since the late 19th century as the default model for higher education. The Lab’s charge is to stimulate innovative ways to provide greater access to a college education and completion."

Founding anchor partners of the OER Tertiary Education Network will be convening in Dunedin, New Zealand on 9-10 November 2011 to plan the implementation of the OER university.  UNESCO and the Commonwealth of Learning will also be attending the meeting. 

With funding support from UNESCO, the planning meeting will be streamed on the Internet.
