I do not support the NC designation because it closes the door to re-use by small business owners such as tutors in countries that lack adequate educational infrastructure and individuals often pay a reasonable fee for assistance in navigating the educational maze.  These service providers fill an important gap in educational services and should not be prevented from re-purposing OER's and making a reasonable living wage.

Interestingly, I saw a "debate" between Rory McGreal and Stepben Downes online about the relative merits of CC BY and CC BY-NC where Stephen was arguing that NC was not more restrictive.  I'm afraid I was with Rory on that one as I believe restricting commercial use would be a barrier to the dissemination of knowledge.

Is the OERu agnostic on this?
